The AntiChrist
Will 2012 bring in the Antichrist?
2012 and the Antichrist. The coming of the Antichrist was prophesied in the Book of Daniel way back during the Babylonian captivity. That was hundreds of years BEFORE the FIRST appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ. The devil has a counterfeit for everything that God has. The antichrist shall soon appear, and deceive many. Do not be fooled. He will do many miracles and deceive the very elect of God, if it were possible.
He will be the One-World Leader. He will lead the One-World Government. He will demand that every “citizen of the world” take the “Mark of the Beast”. He will be a great religious leader, as well, bringing about the One-world-religion. In the name of “peace”, he will wage war.
Daniel 9: 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Notice from the passage above:
1. “The prince that shall come” is the Antichrist.
2. He and his people (gentiles) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
3. “The Messiah” was cut off after 62 weeks. The Messiah is Jesus, and he was crucified exactly 434 years (a prophetic week is a period of 7 years…62×7=434) after the command was given by Cyrus to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem (The second Temple).
4. The “one week” of verse 27 is the same week that is missing from verse 25 where only 69 weeks are mentioned. That last “week” is commonly called “Daniel’s 70th week.”
5. That one prophetic week, Otherwise known as the “Tribulation Period,” has not occurred yet. It is still off in the future.
6. Basically God’s prophetic clock stopped at the crucifixion of Christ on the cross of Calvary. No wonder. These last two thousand years have been known as “The Times of the Gentiles.” During this time, not only have Jews been saved, but millions and millions of Gentiles.
7. However, the clock will begin ticking again, immediately at the Rapture, for then the “Time of Jacob’s Troubles” begins. All the saved will be delivered before the destruction, as in Sodom, and as in the world-wide flood. Thus begins the Tribulation, Daniel’s 70th Week, the 7 years of hell on Earth, as God opens the seals of His wrath and pours out bowl after bowl of vengeance.
No one has to go through this horrible time. Accept Jesus as your personal Savior today!

Your site is interesting. I love Bible prophecy because it is the only sure source of knowing the future because God is the only one who knows. Folks will look every place but a Bible to try to determine their future. The Bible tells the future of every man, woman, boy or girl who ever lived. Concerning the rapture of the church I believe we will go up at the middle of the seven year tribulation. 2Thess.2 shows us that the antichrist will be revealed before we leave earth. We will not go through the great tribulation, which is the last half of the tribulation when God’s wrath will be poured out on this Christ rejecting world. Technically then, the rapture is not imminent. Though I am waiting for the return of Christ in the clouds, the antichrist will rule for his pitifully short time first. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Dave,
It sounds like you know your stuff, and you have studied this topic extensively. I admit that I do not know the day or the hour. Or who the antichrist is. I cannot say whether 2012 is the date we are all looking for. true.
But I am looking for Jesus to return very soon. I am hoping everyone all over the world will look for the Savior, the Messiah, Jesus Christ! And not just be looking for some “cosmic occurences”.
God bless you.

I just got the idea the anticrist will come in year 2012, and did a search, and found your website. I think there’s a good possibility that satan with take advantage of all the attention year 2012 is making. You never know though he didn’t come in “Y2K” maybe he won’t come in 2012. Anyway I thought I would mention that you shouldn’t be so hung up on the way the majority of people are interpreting revelation these days, they may be wrong. I’ve always believed that Jesus was the one that was cut off in the middle of the 70th week. (AD31) The 70th week runs from when Jesus was baptised (AD 27) to when the Jews finally rejected the gospel of Jesus. (AD 34) Also the sacrifices were ended when Jesus was sacrificed, the One that the sacrifices repersented and pointed to. When He died on the cross He fullfilled the sacrifial system. Being fullfilled by His death it was ended and will never be done again. Also the great tribulation has already happened in the dark ages. The seven seals are almost all brokern already, all is left is for the sky to open and Jesus to be seen coming. In fact most of revelation is already fulfilled. The time periods of the seven churches, the seven trumpets, the three angles messages, the beast, the little horn, etc. When the antichrist comes Jesus will come very soon after-wards. Also don’t believe so strongly in a rapture before Jesus comes. The bible actually teaches of a rapture after everyone sees Him coming in the sky. And after that rapture the bible teaches that everyone that is not raptured will be killed and the birds will eat there flesh. God Bless You, Dave. Reply to californiacruiser101@yahoo.com
